Metro Universal
Project DEIR Model Development & Application
A draft EIR for the Metro-Universal Project is
being developed for the mixed-use project
located in Universal City, CA. Raju Associates
was involved in the development of a detailed
travel demand forecasting model for use in the
study; calibration and validation of the same;
assessment of existing travel conditions; future
travel forecasts and evaluation; traffic impacts
assessment and development of a mitigation
program for the Project.
The comprehensive mitigation program for this
project was developed and tested using the
model, and its effectiveness determined.
Numerous network input alternatives were tested
both individually and collectively to come up
with the overall Project’s Transportation
Improvement package. This package included a
Travel Demand Management program element,
regional/sub-regional highway system
improvements element, transit system
improvements element, and specific intersection
improvements element.
