San Gabriel Valley Transit Restructuring Study
As a sub-contractor to Parsons, Brinckerhoff,
Quade & Douglas, Raju Associates was involved in
the synthesis of a GIS framework for the entire
study area involving numerous transit operators
in the region. Both supply and demand
information from the various operators were
obtained and digitally incorporated as part of
the database developed for this project.
Additionally, using the GIS cartographic
capabilities, exhibits of the system overlaid on
land use, population and socio-economic data by
census geography (census tracts) were prepared.
Overlay and buffer analyses were conducted for
use in system utilization analysis including new
market identification, existing market capture
and finally, identification of impact of
proposed changes to service and the system, in
general.
